Emily is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker practicing in Denver, Colorado and additionally licensed in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from the University of Vermont, and her Masters Degree in Social Work from New York University. At NYU, Emily had a focus on working with youth and their families which lead her to working as a School Social Worker for years while obtaining her clinical licensure.
Emily opened up her own private practice in 2021, Mind over Mountains Therapy, and also teaches as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver School of Social Work. In 2024, she shifted the focus of her private practice to women's issues and perinatal mental health.
In 2024, Emily completed the required hours and passed the exam to receive her PMH-C from Postpartum Support International. PMH-C stands for Perinatal Mental Health certificate. This is Emily's area of passion, and she loves being able to work with this population. This can include folks throughout their journey, from trying to conceive, fertility treatments, to pregnancy, postpartum, surrogacy and more.
